Ops...
Tralalalalaaa...
You can see for yourselves :
My weekend
On Saturday we went to Gransjönäs. It was beautiful and very enjoyable! Camilla and Micke joined us to this lake, and we sat there for a couple of hours. Then Anders and Daniel had to go back home, so I layed down in the garden again and did some sunbathing with Camilla =)
On Sunday Michael and I went back to Gransjönäs, which was almost better than the day before! I had some lonely time with Michael, something I always enjoy!
Later on that day I had to go to Lkpg with some colleagues of mine and on Monday we went to Borgholm (the "capital" of Öland, the biggest island in Sweden). We had an education on group leading techniques. Later on on Monday night we had a party, and what a party! We went to a famous pub in Borgholm called Robinsson Crusoe, and they had karaoke that night! I totally fell in love with two gay guys who sang "Sole Mio" in Italian. It was so much fun! Those two guys and I started "playing" with each other, so I pretended to be a crazy fan (which I actually was=)) and they pretended to sing just for me! Haha, it was so much fun! I got a free ticket for their concert in Motala later in August (They are actually singers!!).
Now I'm back in business full of energy and coffee! I just played some Guitar Hero in the conference room during the brake so I'm happy! Haha, I love G.H!!
Well, Peace!!

Meaning: 1. Study of the pronunciation of words. 2. Customary pronunciation of a language.

The first explanation is what I would like to do in my life! I want to become a language historican, or whatever it is called.
I checked my bank account today, I got my sallary today! Wie! But it wasn't that pleasurefull... I think I'll at least afford an MP3 player, not a fancier one... Like an iPod or such... Darn. I have to wait to buy a laptop, don't think I'll be able to buy one on sale... Maybe for christmas?
Saw on the napkins from Pressbyrån that it says : "You look strong today"... Both Karin and I liked it =) How cute of them!

I just love languages.
Lingua Franca
So, what does this wonderful word mean? It is a language which people use, from different countries, to understand eachother when they don't know eachother's native tounge. On http://www.wordsmith.org/ it is explained as: A language that is widely used by speakers of different languages to communicate with one another. On www.wikipedia.org they also say about this term that : Any given language normally becomes a lingua franca primarily by being used for international commerce, but can be accepted in other cultural exchanges(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lingua_franca).
I really need a Lingua Franca to understand my customers sometimes...
=)
Today's joke =)
"Hello, I would like the telephone number of Mary Johnsson, Phoenix, Arizona, please."
Operator: " There are many of that name in Phoenix. Do you have a street name?"
The young man hesitated a while then said "Well, my friends call me Ice T!"
Haha! That's fun!
This is what I've found so far...
Well, I can't really do this during my job... But this is more fun than to work... Haha! Enjoy!

Feels Freudian... =)
I've been reading Frankenstein for some time now, I can't through it. In many ways, I don't understand the book, and I can't finish it. I don't have time and I don't find the book that interesting either. I've cirkled words I don't understand in the book, and found out that many words are very Old English. I should, by now, know O.E since I've read Shakespear, Austen and Bronte... I've also studied History of English, but there are many words I still don't understand. But it's for me to find out, right?!
Some words from the 19th Century's classic:
Abode
ameliorate
recital
poignant
paroxysm
inexorable
dirge
festering
callous
mien
vacillating
...
Either I don't know the words, or I can't describe them for my pupils which I must need to know. How else could I become a good teacher? If you know the words, please tell me! And if you've read the book we could have a book discussion.

One word a day!

Catachresis
Meaning : The misuse of words.
/Wordsmith.org
catachresis (plural catachreses)
The misuse of words; applying a term to something which it should not properly desribe.

Don't really know when I will use this word. Maybe I could say catachresis when I've said another English word wrong so I can make up my mistake! haha...
I got an email from Dave today, I was delighted! Haven't heard from him in a while, so now I know he is still alive! I want to visit him, I'm so curious to see how he lives! Imagine, going to California! Visiting the best gay man in the world! The sun. The beaches. The Hispanics. The atmosphere. The culture, a.k.a the melting pot! =) I would just love it!!
Right, now I got to get back to my job - my unpaid job. Lucky me!
The to-do-list
I took care of my cat and I took a shower!
I went over to Tim's place and I had a blast!!
Then I went home and slept!
Today is my last day of this week at this job. I took a vacation during my birthday. So I'm free tomorrow, on Thursday (my b-day) and on Friday as well. Tomorrow I'm going to look for wallpapers to my appartment, and also buy snacks for Thursday and Friday. On Thursday I'm going to clean up in my "hood" then prepare the food for the guests. On Friday my friends will come to my place and we'll have a party.
What a lovely birthday period I'll have! I'm so looking forward to it!
I also got another job appointment on Saturday. It is also a telephone job, but it is not something to do with directory assistance, and I do not have to sell anything over the phone. And I'll get paid more... Nice!
Now I'm back to work again!!!
Love!
