Useful words part three.
Punters - An informal British English for a person who bets a lot of money on, for example, horse races.
Ablaze - Something that is ablaze is burning very fiercely.
Decadent - If you describe someone/-thing as decadent you think they have low moral standards and only interested in mainly pleasures.
Unabashed - A person who is unabashed is not embarrassed or shy about a specific subject most people would be.
Slot - Is the small hole where you put money in a payphone for example (slot works for any machine really).
Venues - Is the place where an event will take place (concert hall...)
Venerable - Is an old and wise person who deserves respect.
Phalanx - Is a group of policemen or soldiers who stand nearby and are ready to fight.
Requisite - Is something which is necessary for a particular purpose.
Imminent - When something is unpleasant and you describe is as imminent you mean it is likely to happen very soon.
Allay - When you allay someone's fears or doubts you stop them feeling afraid or doubtful.
Curating - Curate - If someone curates an exhibition, the organise it.
Reinvigorated à Invigorated - is something that makes you feel more energetic.
